Position

  • Reports to the CEO.

  • The organization develops innovative financial products that match the needs of borrowers and investors thereby providing more than the standard offering of mainstream financial institutions.
  • Branches in all major Canadian urban centres (Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto & Montreal).
  • This position has become available through the recent combination of two operations, totalling more than 110 employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct the operations and administration of the Company to create bottom-line profits.
  • Direct the operations and administration of the Company to ensure the investment criteria are achieved.
  • Manage the Investor relationship with the different Groups of the Company.
  • Develop new business initiatives to increase the profitability and identify opportunities to grow the assets under administration.
  • Develop and present new investment and services to enhance their portfolio return.
  • Create long-term growth and value for company shareholders and investors.
  • Champion the role of the business as it contributes to the achievement of the group of companies’ strategic directions.
  • Participate in the Senior Strategic Planning Committee.
  • Develop and execute a long-term Strategic Plan that is consistent with the Company’s long-term Strategic Plan.
  • Develop and execute annual budgets and business plans that will meet its objectives and financial goals.
  • Ensure all senior Managers and staff understand their role in the Company’s business and strategic plans and have the training and resources to perform their accountabilities and meet their objectives.

Profile:

  • Strong knowledge of the industry and be well connected to the industry nation wide.
  • Have a background in commercial mortgage underwriting and real estate mezzanine lending.
  • Be an outstanding leader of people
  • Fluently bilingual.
